My mom's surgery went very well, but for us the real celebrating came when the surgeon called on Friday evening. The cancer is gone! The margins were all clear and the cancer was contained. It was such a huge answer to prayer! She still has a lot of recovering to do, and some radiation next month. But the news was great and she is enjoying that this week!
And in other news ... today Rachel's cornea turned 5. We are so thankful for how God has continued to sustain that cornea, against all odds. So tonight we will eat eyeball cookies and praise God for His answer to prayer! And we will pray for another family we have never met. A family that God prompted to give Rachel an amazing gift in the midst of their great sorrow.
